La Plata Electric CEO, Chris Hanson invites co-op members to Ska Brewing in Durango from 5:30 to 7PM on Tuesday, June 10th, for a talk and open forum to share thoughts, ideas, and questions.

Non-alcoholic drinks and a buffet of wings will be provided.

Explore the art of Drag Makeup with local Drag Queen Aria PettyOne! In this hands-on, interactive workshop, participants will learn a brief history of Drag and the basics of contouring your own face and eyebrows. Patrons must be 17+ to register for this event. No experience necessary! Supplies provided! PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

You're invited to a yarn bombing party, where crafting meets street art! Join us for a relaxed, colorful gathering where you can learn to crochet, hang out with crafty folks, and create collaborative art! No experience? No problem! Crochet designer and author Susan Kennedy of Pretty Peaceful will be on hand to teach you to crochet the chain stitch.

Supplies provided - just bring your creativity and good vibes. If you're already a knitter or crocheter, bring any scraps, swatches, or failed projects to transform into community yarn bombing material! Together, we'll crochet a garland and yarn bomb some chairs - a joyful explosion of fiber art in public space! All ages are welcome, but recommended for ages 8 and up for maximum joy and minimum frustration.

San Juan Mountains Association will host a "Moonlight in the Pines" walk on Tuesday, June 10th. Those interested should meet at the Coyote Hill Trailhead in Pagosa Springs. Details are at sjma.org.

Pagosa Sidewalk Astronomers founder Dena Laterza guides hikers into the moonlit landscape of the Coyote Hill trail system in the Pagosa Springs area. See the stately Ponderosa pines of the San Juan National Forest in a whole new light as they take on an eerie yet beautifully surreal character under the glow of a full moon. Celebrate the nocturnal wildlife. We will likely encounter mule deer and hear coyotes howl. Dena will impart to guests her knowledge of the night sky, with emphasis on the moon and its powerful effects on our natural world.

The Four Corners Gem and Mineral Show has issued a Call For Volunteers.
The event takes place at La Plata County Fairgrounds from July 11th through the 13th.

This event relies on local volunteers to make it happen. Volunteering for at least 1 shift will grant you free access to the show for all three days.

We serve only the LOCAL districts including Dove Creek, Montezuma-Cortez, Mancos, Dolores, Durango, Silverton, Bayfield, Ignacio, and Archuleta. Our virtual, public school has been serving our community for over 14 years.

HIIT stands for High Intense Interval Training. Each class will consist of a demonstration, warm-up, and 10-12 stations where we will focus on a specific body group per station. We will rotate through 3 rounds with a short break between each round. When the work out is over we cool down and stretch.

All equipment will be provided. These HIITs will be outside, please plan accordingly and bring your own water.

Workout using your own body weight or light hand weights to work all the body parts! The free classes are always similar in style but always different moves to keep it fun and fresh. You’ll need a yoga mat & light hand weights. If you don’t have them, they are extras that can be used. Each class is around 35 min. long. Modifications are always available. It’s always a fun, upbeat, encouraging, and a great workout. Taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!
