The Durango Nature Center will host a "Sunday Stroll" series from May 18th through September. The first one will be a "Wildflower Beauty Walk."

SJMA’s Nature Center Education Specialist, Julie Campbell, “Sunday Strolls” summer series begins in May and continues through September. The first of the summer series focuses the rare treat of flowers blooming throughout the four ecosystems on the 142-acre nature preserve. Families welcome!

The Southwest Colorado eSchool your free, LOCAL, accredited, rigorous, and flexible 6th-12th grade ONLINE school! We serve only the LOCAL districts including Dove Creek, Montezuma-Cortez, Mancos, Dolores, Durango, Silverton, Bayfield, Ignacio, and Archuleta. Our virtual, public school has been serving our community for over 14 years.

The Durango Tool Library will host a Repair Cafe at their Bodo Park facility from 10 until 2 on Sunday, May 18th. Volunteers will be on-hand to help diagnose and fix items.

The Chimney Rock Interpretive Association will host daily guided Great House Tours at 10:30 from Thursday, May 15th through Saturday, May 31st.

The tour goes to the top of the mesa ridge for a 360-degree panoramic view of the landscape and a close-up of the two pinnacles with stops along the way to learn about the ancient Puebloan structures.

Join Maestro Heuser and the San Juan Symphony for “Tyrannosaurus Sue!” by NPR personality Bruce Adolphe. The fun and friendly narrative will have both kids and adults laughing out loud! All ages are welcome for $5 each!

Audience members are all invited to a FREE “Instrument Petting Zoo” and “Dinosaur Exploration” 1 hour before the event!
