Night Sky: Our Solar System
Chimney Rock National Monument will host a Night Sky viewing event at 7:30 on Friday, July 21st. The program will start with a history of the area, followed by a video presentation on the importance of astronomy to the original inhabitants, then a power point presentation on our solar system and moon.
Attendees should provide seating, a flashlight, and weather appropriate clothing.
Guests must enter through the Hwy 151 entry gate during the check-in period stated below; the gate will be locked at the end of that time.
