We really like a good treasure hunt!
So naturally, we wanted to make one for you to come experience in our one-of-a-kind Subterrain space. Fans of escape rooms will love this…especially the fans who wish they could enjoy a libation - alcoholic or non - while hunting for clues and trying to beat the clock!

Our 2025 Conductor-in-Residence, Daniel Raiskin, leads our Festival Orchestra for a special evening of world-class classical music.

Pieces to be performed include:
ALFRED SCHNITTKE: Suite in the Old Style, Op. 80
ROBERT SCHUMANN: Konzertstück for Four Horns and Orchestra in F, Op. 86
JOHANNES BRAHMS: Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98

Join us for a free pre-concert lecture at 6:00 pm at the Center for Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, presented by Dr. Linda Mack Berven.

The public is invited to the San Juan Mountains Association Summer Star Party series at the Durango Nature Center. Events take place at 8:30PM on the following Fridays:

All are welcome, amateur astronomers and enthusiasts alike, for a family friendly event discussing and observing our night skies – the moon, planets, star clusters, galaxies, and nebulas. Just before sunset, an expert from the Durango Astronomical Society will lead discussions on what we will be seeing that evening, providing informative backstories and fascinating fun facts about the night sky we see everyday. Each summer month will have slightly different focuses depending on that month’s night sky. All discussions will end with open telescope viewings and Q&A sessions.
