The annual Dave Spencer Ski Classic and fundraiser for the Durango Adaptive Sports Association takes place at Purgatory on Saturday, February 28th. Team registration and details are at asadurango.com.

Later in the day, Uncle Clyde’s Run and Slide brings relay-style competition to the tubing hill. Teams complete as many uphill-and-downhill laps as possible within timed heats. Divisions are available for adult teams (male, female, and coed), plus categories for kids and parent/child teams. Prizes are awarded for race categories as well as costumes, team spirit, and best cheering section.

Uncle Clyde’s Run and Slide: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
60-minute heat begins at 11:00 AM
90-minute heat begins at 12:00 PM
Check-in: 45 minutes before race time (tubing hill, Columbine area)
