How much would you pay for a good Scotch whisky?

MICHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Michel Martin.

How much would you pay for a good Scotch whisky? Well, someone just spent a record-setting $2.7 million for a bottle of Macallan at an auction. It was bottled in 1986 after 60 years of aging. It was a small batch for top customers. And it better be mighty tasty because it costs about 78,000 times more than the cheapest bottle of Macallan found online. Now that's a stiff drink.
