Beirut And The Arcs To Play Back-To-Back First Listen Live Concerts In New York
This fall is stacked with highly anticipated new albums from some of the brightest names in music. We're going to celebrate September's bounty with a pair of back-to-back First Listen Live concerts in NYC with the bands The Arcs and Beirut.
On Wednesday, Sept. 9, NPR Music will welcome The Arcs to Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in SoHo, where the band will showcase songs from its debut album, Yours Dreamily. Led by Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), this new project brings the singer/guitarist together with a number of his longtime collaborators and favorite musicians for a rollicking, psyched-out ride that references bluesy garage rock and mariachi.
On Thursday, Sept. 10, NPR Music heads to The Bell House in Brooklyn for a special night of music with the band Beirut. The indie band, known for its expansive and globally diverse sound, will play a number of tracks from its upcoming album No No No, its first in four years.
If you'll be in New York and would like to attend either show, we will have an extremely limited number of free tickets available. You can find details on how to get your hands on tickets below, but make sure to follow @nprmusic on Twitter and keep your eyes peeled for updates.
Please note that both events are 21+ with ID. RSVP does not guarantee admission. And if you're not in NYC or don't land tickets to the shows, make sure to check back with us — they'll both be archived in our Live In Concert series.
