KSUT begins broadcasting from the new Eddie Box, Jr. Media Center, Monday, October 12 at 6 AM, and we could not be more excited!
Everything about the old station, is in fact very old. From the carpeted walls to the control boards, mics and recording equipment, all hanging on by a thread while our move was delayed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
The new studios are a beautiful state of the art broadcast facility, complete with the latest equipment and technology. In preparation, this week has been spent training staff, transferring data and preparing to move from the old to the new.

While we're ready and eager for this major transition, we do anticipate some challenges, and ask for patience if we hit a few bumps along the way. We know the end result will be worth it in the coming months.
Programming updates:
We're also implementing a few programming changes, some of which we've already announced, like the return of the Saturday Blend and the addition of the new bluegrass show Down Home Girl with JJ Hirt:
Monday: Down Home Girl, 7- 9 PM beginning 10/12. Global Village moves to Sunday at 12 noon in a one-hour format. Thistle & Shamrock moves to 9 PM.
Saturday: Saturday Blend from noon-3 PM with rotating hosts. American Routes has moved to 4-6 PM. Strange Brew with Jim Belcher expands from 7-9 PM, with Sound Opinions changing to a podcast format due to covid cutbacks.
Sunday: Global Village moves from Monday night to Sunday at 12 noon in a one-hour format. We're excited to announce a new show from local sax player and music educator Bobby Hemenger, Close Enough For Jazz, premiering 10/18 from 7-9 PM. We'll have a web feature on Bobby next week with more details.
