On the 15th of every month at 3pm, we host a live virtual tour on Zoom to learn about Heartwood, see our beautiful little slice of paradise, meet community members, and have your questions answered – all without having to actually make a trip to Heartwood.

Free music every Thursday at Uncle’s Bar and Social Club. Pagosa’s newest bar and best local gathering place. House band Connie the Soldier and musicians welcome for an open jam. Folk, Americana, and Celtic music.

Heartwood Cohousing 4th Friday Potluck
4th Friday Potlucks are a great way to meet the folks who live at Heartwood and get a sense of the community. If you long for a greater sense of peace and belonging in your life and a healthier lifestyle fostered by living in community and close to Nature, we invite you to come to the potluck and optional tour. A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death; it is not a grief support group. The Death Café offers an accessible, respectful and confidential space where strangers gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Death Cafés are open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems. The model was developed by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky Reid, based on the ideas of Bernard Crettaz. To find out more visit: deathcafe.com. Your facilitator, Lola Montano, has been hosting the Bayfield Death Café since October 2021. Lola is a hospice nurse at Mercy Hospice House, and a trained death doula. Lola volunteers for hospice and the NODA (No One Dies Alone) program at the hospital. She is passionate about demystifying death, in order to help people prepare for the end.
