FREE ASSOCIATION is a new jazz fusion group focused on modern grooves, tight melodic forms and fearless improvisation. The band draws from the music of Pat Metheny, Robert Glasper & Erykah Badu, Shaun Martin and related worlds—electric jazz, fusion, and contemporary soul-informed sounds.

Opening the night is the Bean Minor Quintet, a group of students from Fort Lewis College playing jazz and funk. Members of the group also host the weekly Friday “Jazz Church” jams at Moe’s.
