Celebrate Bears Ears

Celebrate Bears Ears

The San Juan County-based nonprofit Bears Ears Partnership will host the Celebrate Bears Ears event from March 6th through 8th in Bluff, Utah, featuring keynote speaker Joy Harjo, the first Native American US Poet Laureate.
The full schedule is available at BearsEarsPartnership.org/events. Space is limited.

Celebrate Bears Ears provides valuable opportunities for Tribal leaders, community members, outdoor enthusiasts, and advocates alike to learn about and get involved in ongoing efforts to steward the greater Bears Ears region.

The theme of this year’s event is The Land Can’t Wait –

On the evening of Friday, March 6, BEP will be hosting a VIP Fundraiser Dinner at Twin Rocks Cafe, offering a silent auction of unique experiences of the region and a locally inspired menu.

Sunday, March 8 will feature guided tours of BEP’s new campus at Canyon Country Discovery Center in Monticello, Utah, and information about BEP’s expanding programming, which includes the Canyon Country Youth Corps and its new River Program, and future plans.

Students can attend Saturday’s programs for a discounted ticket price.
