An Evening of Story and Song with Rachel Garlin
Singer-songwriter Rachel Garlin presents "The Ballad of Madelyne and Therese," an evening of story & song, at the Durango Arts Center on Sunday, March 1st. Doors open at 6:30 and the performance starts at 7. The evening features original songs and intimate storytelling as Garlin explores what happens when queer desire collides with 1940s conventions. Proceeds benefit the Armida Huerta Adventure Fund, a Mancos-based non-profit dedicated to increasing access to outdoor adventures for LGBTQ+ individuals. Tickets and details are at durangoarts.org.
Part concert, part one-person play, with recent showings in NYC and San Francisco, Garlin’s new work is coming for a one-night benefit at the Durango Arts Center.
