Revised Covid Policies for Four Corners Folk Festival; Children Under 12 No Longer Required to Take Covid Test

In the interest of public safety, and due to a rapidly changing health environment, KSUT and the Four Corners Folk Festival have amended their health and safety protocols for this year’s event, to be held on Reservoir Hill in Pagosa Springs over Labor Day weekend.

Children under the age of 12 who are not yet eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccination are no longer required to obtain a negative Covid-19 test prior to attending. However, children under the age of 12 will be required to wear a mask when under the main festival tent, children’s tent, or late-night tent.

All festival attendees ages 12 and older – including ticket holders, volunteers, vendors, staff, and performers – will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival at the festival AND a photo ID in order to attend. Once proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test AND photo ID have been shown, attendees will receive their non-transferable wristbands to be worn at all times within the festival grounds.

All attendees are encouraged to wear masks under the festival tents and in high traffic areas such as the merchandise tent, vendor lines, beverage lines, transportation waiting areas, and restroom lines.

IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE GET TESTED BEFORE ARRIVING IN PAGOSA SPRINGS. For attendees who live locally and choose to take a Covid-19 test prior to the festival, the following free community testing times and locations are being offered by San Juan Basin Public Health:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday – 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 95 S. Pagosa Blvd. (behind the Pagosa Springs Medical Center)
  • Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., Durango
  • Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-noon and Saturday, 8 a.m.–noon, Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive, Durango

Appointments can be made at covidcheckcolorado.org (for Archuleta County appointments) and primarybio.com/l/cdphe (for La Plata County appointments).

Attendees who have received full vaccination are reminded to bring their vaccination card, or take a picture of their vaccination card with their cell phone. The free, myColorado app stores your proof of vaccination on your phone.
