Epidemiologist DR

Epidemiologist DR. DONALD FRANCIS. In the mid 1970's he was in Sudan helping to contain the Ebola virus, which had then just been identified. FRANCIS was also on the forefront of research on AIDS and the HIV virus. He was director of the CDC's AIDS Laboratory Activities, and worked closely with the Institut Pasteur to prove that HIV was the cause of AIDS.
