Blackfoot Confederacy, Elders' Vision, Tribal Radio's Friday Featured CD, September 14th

Elders' Vision, recorded live during the 43rd Annual Kyi-Yo Powwow at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. Blackfoot Confederacy originated in 2004 during the Annual North American Indian Days in Browning, Montana. Original singers were sought out for their knowledge of the songs that belong to the Four Nations of the Confederacy. With a strong commitment to preserving the songs of the Blackfoot Confederacy and the Blackfoot Style of singing these singers have sat once again to share the songs with the people. Songs composed and dating as far back as the 1950's are Included on this recording, as well as an intro/outro spoken in the Blackfoot language by Chief Earl Old Person, Chief of the Blackfoot Nation. KSUT Southern Ute Tribal Radio would like to say, "Thank you!!" to Jay Dusty Bull, Mike LaFromboise and Canyon Records for their contributions to the station.
