Life at Chimney Rock
Life at Chimney Rock
Join the Chimney Rock Interpretive Association for the Life at Chimney Rock Festival on June 7–8, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Chimney Rock National Monument. This free event features family-friendly activities and hands-on demos of ancient skills like pottery, yucca pounding, rock art, weaving, and spear-throwing with an atlatl. Enjoy food vendors, sample Anasazi beans, and explore astronomy and dendrochronology exhibits.
Shop the Native American Market with pottery, jewelry, and art from Acoma, Laguna, Santo Domingo, Santa Clara Pueblos, and the Navajo, Jicarilla Apache, and Southern Ute Nations—many artists will be demonstrating their crafts.
Dance performances take place daily in the amphitheater:
Oak Canyon Dancers (Jemez Pueblo): Saturday at 2 PM, Sunday at 11 AM
Roach Family Dancers: Sunday at 2 PM
Fun, food, culture, and heritage—all in one unforgettable weekend!
