How to Stay Out of a Nursing Home

How to Stay Out of a Nursing Home

The "How to Stay Out of a Nursing Home" series continues at the Durango Senior Center at 1PM on Tuesday, June 10th. This meeting will feature representatives from the San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging and the Southwest Center for Independence.

Join a group of folks who are learning ways to make sure we can continue to live well as we age. We examine different tools, brainstorm, compare notes, and learn to advocate for our wishes.

We meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 1:00 p.m. on different topics, with aging and disability activist Martha Mason. The workshops apply to people who are aging, people with disabilities, and anyone concerned with helping someone stay out of a nursing home.

Join us for June’s free presentation: Learn About Local Agencies that can help you age well in the community

This month we’ll hear from:
• Deb Herrera, from San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging
• Toffee Webb, from Southwest Center for Independence
