Colorado's Wolf Restoration

A presentation on “Colorado’s Wolf Restoration” takes place at La Plata County Fairgrounds Extension building on Tuesday, March 10th, at 6pm.

Gary Skiba, Wildlife Program Manager for the San Juan Citizens Alliance will speak on the history and status of wolves in Colorado. Matt Barnes, owner of Shining Horizons Land Management, will talk about coexistence and conflict minimization. Both speakers will address the controversies around wolf restoration and the difficult questions that arise from divergent perspectives on wolves. The presentation is sponsored by the Great Old Broads for Wilderness and the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project and is free and open to the public.
