Writer ALEXS PATE ("Alex Payt")

Writer ALEXS PATE ("Alex Payt"). His first novel is called "Losing Absalom." It's a memoir, and tribute, to his father, Absalom Goodman. Pate's book chronicles the end of Absalom's life as his family has gathered around his hospital bed. Writer John Willimas wrote, "Losing Absalom is a powerful yet sensitive embrace with black America today." Pate lives in Minneapolis, where he works as a writer, poet and performance artist.
