The Bright Light Social Hour.

The Bright Light Social Hour is a psychedelic rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 2006 by Jack O'Brien and Curtis Roush. The band's live show and 2010 debut album were so popular that The Bright Light Social Hour won an unprecedented six Austin Music Awards in 2011, including Band Of The Year.

There have been two more studio albums since then, including this year's Space Is Still The Place. On World Cafe today, the CBC's Talia Schlanger talks with O'Brien and Roush about the themes of the new album, which takes a close look at their vision for a new South. Watch the band play "Ouroboros" and download the World Cafe performance of "Infinite Cities" below.
