Amos Lee, Mountains of Sorrow Rivers of Song, Feature CD, 10/25

Tune in to KSUT at noon on Friday (Oct. 25) to hear this week's feature CD, Amos Lee's "Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song." For his fifth album, Lee took a different path for the recording; he worked in a new city with a new producer, while, for the first time, he brought his touring band into the studio with him. The 12 songs that resulted — the follow-up to 2011's chart-topping Mission Bell — bring Lee into new sonic territory, while retaining the trenchant impact of the scenes, characters, and stories in his writing. Correctly answer the Amos Lee trivia question that host Jim Belcher will ask at about 12:30 and you could win lunch at Zia Taqueria.

Chris Aaland is the Development Director at KSUT Public Radio. He also hosts the Monday Afternoon Blend and the Wednesday evening specialty show Tales of the New West.
