With the omicron variant, Covid-19 cases in La Plata and Archuleta counties are at the highest numbers that health officials have seen during this pandemic. Sarah Flower talks with Liane Jollon of San Juan Basin Public Health about how they're adapting their strategy in dealing with the virus.

Key takeaways:

• Increased booster eligibility for the vaccinated.
• The level of infection: there is so much spread of this variant that containing this disease is no longer a strategy that will be effective. The community needs to practice mitigation steps together.
• CDC isolation rules have changed to prevent disruptions in in-person school for kids, and individuals' livelihoods while also not creating extra danger for the community at large.
