The House of Representatives is expected to begin debate on the resolution calling on the vice president to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove the president at about 4 PM mountain time today (Tuesday 1/12).
Debate on the rules is scheduled to begin at around 4:30 PM MT. Debate on the resolution itself is slated to begin around 6:30. Voting could take place late this evening. The resolution implores the Vice President to take action under the 25th Amendment, to declare President Trump unable to discharge the duties of his office.  The effort also comes as the House is also pursuing a second impeachment against the president over the insurrection at the Capitol on Jan. 6.
