Opera Lafayette, based in Washington DC, will perform the 18th century French comic “The Blacksmith Opera” at the historic Reddert Ranch, in Mancos in October. Ryan Brown, founder and artistic director, spoke with Tami Graham about the event. Brown and his family inherited the Reddert Ranch from his grandparents and still raise cattle there today:
