COVID-19 is having a big impact on local businesses. Some struggle, others thrive. And employees are caught in the middle. The long-term effect on the area's economy is still unknown.

KSUT's Mark Duggan checked in with two area business boosters to get a report on the state of the Four Corners economy:

For a regional view, we spoke to Laura Lewis Marchino, Executive Director of the Region 9 Economic Development District. Region 9 encompasses Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan Counties as well as the Southern Ute and Ute Mountain Ute Tribes.

We also talked to Maggie Goodell with the Mancos Chamber of Commerce.

KSUT COVID-19 news reporting is made possible by support from individual donors and the Colorado Media Project.
