Ladie's Night 2 the Ladies of Onion Lake, feautre CD 10/11

Ladie's Night 2 was recorded in the Onion Lake community of northern Saskatchewan.  It is Drumhop's second release for the album featuring Cree women of round dance singing.  Feelings were expressed and thoughts were conveyed about why they were composed.  Songs take a whole new meaning when you find out where they originate and the people who share their vocal gift.  We hope you enjoy this weeks feature CD selection.  This particular album was donated to the station, if you are interested in this or other Native American recordings visit Drumhop's website at www.drumhop.net
