'The Road Goes on Forever.' And it brought the Americana songwriter to our studios.

Hear the second part of Robert Earl Keen, recorded on KSUT July 23, 2014.

Robert Earl Keen dropped by the KSUT studios on a hot summer day for performance and conversation.

The Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee has been making albums and touring since the mid 1980s.

That means he has a few stories to tell.

He and KSUT host Jim Belcher settled into an extended conversation about music, touring, and life.

He also played a few songs for us. By the time Robert's set was over, even the one-armed monkey was sweating.

Session notes:

Interviewer: Jim Belcher
Live Mix Engineer: Ken Brott
Post-Production Engineer: Mark Duggan

A technical note: KSUT Sessions were initially mixed for live broadcast and 'captured' by recording equipment. Post-production sometimes revealed deficiencies unique to the recording. Efforts were taken to reduce such deficiencies, but some are still audible.
