Joy Harjo & Poetic Justice, Feature CD, 6/6

Joy Harjo & Poetic Justice have worked in water rights attorney, a tribal judge, two educators and a stock clerk.  They call themselves Poetic Justice as a term of grace, expressing how justice can appear in the world despite forces of confusion and destruction.  Their music speaks for them in a blend of influences that speak of community, love for people, for all creatures, for this crazy beautiful history.  Please join us this Friday, June 6, 2014 for this weeks Feature CD, Joy Harjo & Poetic Justice, 12P.M. Lorena Richards is an enrolled member of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe & lifelong resident of Ignacio, CO. A mother of three, Lorena has worked at KSUT Tribal Radio for over eight years. Before her passion for radio, Lorena’s passion was cooking which took her to Culinary School. Returning home she began volunteering for KSUT and has since worked her way into a full-time position & the current Content Director for Tribal Radio. Lorena has two afternoon programs during the week and she hosts the Tuesday & Thursday "Native Morning Show." Her goal is to get her Bachelor’s degree in Video Journalism.
