Addressing Food Insecurity at the community level in Montezuma County

Mark Duggan

Local groups that address hunger are finding that the coronavirus has a hidden silver lining. It's led to a swell of support and more focus on food resources in the Four Corners.

Witnessing it firsthand is Gretchen Groenke. She's the Co-Director of Mancos FoodShare, a member and co-facilitator with the Montezuma Food Coalition, and Professional Development Coordinator for the statewide Double Up Food Bucks program.

She spoke to KSUT about how these organizations are working to address hunger and food insecurity in the region.
