The renowned vocalist also talked about the day R&B singer Carla Thomas dropped by the studio and about her founding of the Woodshed Network, which supports and mentors female jazz performers.

Bridgewater performs two shows Friday, December 3 and Saturday the 4th at The Lift at Cascade, 50827 Highway 550. Seatings are at 5 PM and 8 PM.

For this KSUT Session, Bridgewater was joined on piano by her band member Carmen Staaf.
