KEXP Presents: Wilco

Wilco recently performed for a packed room of KEXP donors at Columbia City Theater in Seattle. You've never heard a sold-out crowd so reverently quiet and enraptured, whether the band was performing old favorites or songs from its new album Star Wars.

But once each song ended, the roar of applause was deafening. The love from fans was so intense that even frontman Jeff Tweedy seemed taken aback, lowering his hand jokingly at the audience to get everyone to stop cheering. Then Wilco would start into the next song and silence the crowd in an instant.
