Hear Hanukkah special programming Monday evening at 7.

KSUT marks Hanukkah this Monday night (Dec 7) with three hours of special programming:

7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Hanukkah Lights
8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. - Candles Burning Brightly
9:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - Itzhak Perlman's Chanukah Radio Party

We'll start at 7:00 p.m. with the perennial NPR favorite Hanukkah Lights, featuring stories and memoirs written by Kathryn Blume, Leah Lax, Eric Kimmel, Issaac Bashevis Singer, and Jonathan Safran Foer, as read by Susan Stamberg and Murray Horwitz.

At 8:00 p.m., hear Candles Burning Brightly, a one-hour celebration of Chanukah, with an exploration of Chanukah foods and traditional activities, and plenty of music.

And at 9:00, it's Itzhak Perlman's Chanukah Radio Party. The superstar violinist tells the story of the Jewish festival of lights, and shares his favorite recordings for the holiday – evocative songs in Yiddish and Ladino; classical music that revolves around the Maccabee heroes of the story; and Chanukah gems by American folk singers.

Join KSUT for Hanukkah programming this Monday evening.

Thistle & Shamrock and A Celtic Journey will return on Monday December 14.
