| About KSUT's Share the Road campaign |
The "Don’t be a Road Hog: Share the Road" campaign was created to
increase awareness of the shared responsibility for road safety among
all users of roadways -- specifically motorists, bicyclists and
pedestrians -- in your community.
The Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) Pedestrian/Bicycle
Program is making mini-grants available to help communities and other
interested parties implement a Share the Road campaign, helping to
inform the public about the importance of sharing the road.
KSUT
is a 2009 recipient of one of the mini grants and, as of May, has
started airing Share the Road spots featuring people from the Four
Corners community who have something to say about sharing the road. We
will also be producing a Share the Road story, set to air in June, and
we'll be putting out an online survey to help us produce that story.
On
top of all that, KSUT will be sending out tip cards and Share the Road
stickers to members. So stay up-to-date on all our Share the Road
happenings through our blog below and don't be afraid to leave us a
comment or two if you have any cool Share the Road ideas!

Share your Story
Whether it's a photo, a short story or even just a sentence having to do with a good or bad experience sharing the road as a walker, runner, biker or driver, we want to know about it. Remember the time some guy ran you off the Buck Highway? Or how about the time that tourist failed to yield on Main Street in downtown Durango? Email us
and we'll post your story on our Share the Road blog. |
