KSUT Presents Kirk James in Ignacio Blues Series

The free monthly concert series continues this Tuesday with longtime local performer James.

KSUT, along with Crash Music Aztec, presents Ignacio Blues, a monthly concert series at the 49 Lounge at Sky Ute Casino Resort.

The series continues with the Kirk James Blues Band, Tuesday October 20 at 6:00 p.m.

James is a Dallas native who developed an early interest in the blues, through artists such as Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson.

He's called Durango home for many years. His Kirk James Blues Band has opened for John Hammond, Richie Havens, Charlie Musselwhite, Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown, among others, and has released two albums, Backdoor Boogie (1995), and The Way it Goes (1998).

Other shows in KSUT's Ignacio Blues Series include:

November 17: Eddie Turner

December 15: Anthony Leon & the Chain

Ignacio Blues is presented by KSUT, along with Sky Ute Casino Resort, and Crash Music Aztec.
