The Klagetoh Swingers, Navajo Love Songs Vol. 1, Tribal Radio's Friday Featured CD, September 21st

Originally recorded in 1974 in Klagetoh, AZ and re-released in 2011 on the Indian House Label.  The songs on this recording were considered modern style some 40 years ago.  Called Skip-dance and Two-step songs in English  the Klagetoh Swingers have dubbed these "Songs about Love" since the songs included on this recording are about this particular popular subject.  Singers included on this recording are Amos Y. Begay, Frank J. Begay, Ted B. Bonnie, Ned T. Clark, Ben J. Johnson & Joe J. Roanhorse.

We want to wish all our Dine Friends a Happy & Safe Fair Season during the fall of 2012.  Fairs are happening all across the Navajo Nation through the months of September & October.

Sheila has hosted the native Morning Show on KSUT Tribal Radio since 2000. In 2006 she also became co-host of Feeding the Spirit, a prgram focused on Native American health issues. In 2009, Sheila was hired by KSUT as the administration director intern and shortly thereafter became the director of Tribal Radio. She is currently one of KSUT's Executive Directors on the management team.
